KVO recently completed 4 large-scale porcelain enamel murals for a new World War II Memorial located in close proximity to the State Capitol in Trenton, New Jersey.
Working closely with project architect DHM Design, KVO developed a fully engineered substructure utilizing KVO's proprietary clip system for mounting the porcelain panels. KVO also provided detailed shop drawings, complete installation hardware, on-site installation help and supervision, as well as advice for where to seam the murals based on the graphic content to minimize the visual impact of the seams.
Only the finest materials were used for this high profile memorial including an extensive use of granite, exquisite bronze sculptures by renowned artist Jay Warren and KVO's high-resolution porcelain enamel for the murals. Each mural consists of 28 individual porcelain enamel panels with collages of numerous historic photos and images, along with an historic timeline of events both for the Pacific and Atlantic theaters.
Officially unveiled on Veterans Day 2008, the memorial it is a fitting tribute to all who served from our "Greatest Generation".
"KVO was quick to answer questions and provide creative and cost saving solutions to the World War II story walls. Their team kept us on schedule and worked within tight deadlines. They provided accurate proofs that led to beautiful final murals. I look forward to working with them in the future."
